SUPPORT THAT MEETS FAMILIES WHERE THEY ARE.
Supporting Canadian Youth With Compassionate, Individualized Care
Care Wellness provides family-centred services for children and adolescents in the Edmonton and Central regions of Alberta. Whether you're navigating government-funded supports for a child with disabilities in Alberta, or are a referral and funding source exploring mental health and addictions services for an adolescent, we’re here to walk alongside you.
Our work is rooted in connection, consistency, and respect. For FSCD funded families, we listen first, then build support around your family's unique needs and goals. For funders and referrals sources seeking mental health and addictions placements for adolescents, we listen to your organization’s needs and work with you to provide relevant, compassionate care and treatment your community is looking for.
Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD)
Care Wellness partners with Alberta families who have Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) funding already in place. Once your funding is approved by the Government of Alberta, we work with you and your FSCD caseworker to bring your child's support plan to life.
Our FSCD services are tailored to each individual, family-focused, and designed to fit into the rhythm of daily life. We're here to provide stability, connection, and the kind of support that helps your whole family feel more confident and capable.
What this includes:
Day services that support skill-building and engagement
Short-term or extended respite care
Family-centred supports tailored to your approved plan
Collaboration with you and your FSCD caseworker every step of the way
We meet families where they are, with patience, flexibility, and care that adapts as your child grows.
Mental Health & Addictions (Under 18) Program
Care Wellness offers licensed mental health and addictions services for adolescents under 18, serving communities from within Alberta and inter-provincially. The program provides a continuous, structured therapeutic environment where youth live, learn, and receive tailored support designed in agreement with the referral and funding source. Consistent routines, emotional support, and a sense of safety helps young people stabilize, grow, and move forward.
Our program provides a stable, nurturing living environment where youth receive consistent care, therapeutic support, with opportunities to grow and heal. Youth join a community designed to help them settle, feel safe, and begin building the skills they need for long‑term well‑being. From the moment they arrive, our focus is on understanding their unique needs, strengthening their sense of belonging, and creating a predictable rhythm that supports healing.
What this includes:
Individual and group-based support focused on emotional well-being
Structured therapeutic programming, healthy activities and support integrating cultural practice
Academic continuity support to help youth stay connected to school
Meaningful routines that promote personal development and confidence
Whether staying for a short period of just a few months or accessing longer-term placement, every youth experiences a setting built on relationships, consistency, and the belief that growth and healing happens best when youth feel safe, understood, and supported.
These services are designed for youth who need more than weekly counselling alone, offering a supportive space where they can pause, regain balance, and build the skills they need to move forward in a caring community.
OUR APPROACH
At Care Wellness, meaningful support begins with understanding. We don't believe in one-size-fits-all care. Every family, every child, and every young person has their own story, and we take the time to learn it.
Our approach is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and respect. We work alongside families, caregivers, and community partners to create environments where people feel safe, heard, and supported. We prioritize relationships over programs, consistency over quick fixes, and care that evolves as needs change.
Whether you're just beginning to explore options or ready to take the next step, we're here to listen, support, and help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
